It's official, Shaq traded from Lakers to Miami Heat. The Lakers are correct in trading Shaq (past his prime), I just don't know if they got much in return.

Great trade from the Heat, who will win a championship in the next five years. They unloaded two bad contracts and the severely overrated Odom for one of the five best players in the game today.

The Lakers are building a team around the most selfish player in the league. It's kinda stunning, especially in the wake of the great team play that Detroit used to beat them in the Finals.

Good luck to Shaq, looks like he put up with years of crap from Kobe.

Shaq on ESPN looked zoned, as in Phil Jacson in-the-zone, ready to be awesome, as in awersomer than ever, as in, the NBA Finals again.*

*And I'm a Pistons fan.

woohoo go heat!
kobe is the most selfish, egotistical player in the NBA right now. He needs a harsh wake up call. He'll be double teamed every night now, and lamar odom will flourish as a result.

The more I hear about Kobe's actions on and off the court, the more I think about Peter Pan.
I wonder if Kobe will every grow up and realize that the world doesn't revolve around him. Frankly,
this isn't going to help his colorado case much either. He's gone from being the swellest guy on the court
to the most selfish one in the course of one season.

As for Shaq in Miami, Dwayne Wade isn't dumb. He'll push Shaq the ball as much as the big guy can
handle it. Two years and Shaq will be in the finals again. Look for Jack Nicholson to move to Palm Beach.

Why's everyone so sure that Kobe's going to be a Laker next year?

Maybe he won't be, if we're lucky.
