I'm not a fan of the current president.
I'm not a huge fan of Kerry, either.
I'm not a big fan of the TV turn-off thing.
I'm not a professional writer.
I'm not quite as young as I used to be.
I'm not too fond of desserts.
I'm not saying. I'm just saying.

Googlism isn't very helpful here, alas.

I am not perfect, and while
I am not always the man I wish I were,
I am not above trying.

This is what I have in common with W:

I'm not a fact-checker.
I'm not a statistician.
I'm not a numbers-cruncher.
I'm not one of these bean counters.
I'm not a micromanager.
I'm not a member of the legislative branch.
I'm not a rubber stamp for the Congress.
I'm not a censor-guy.
I'm not a lawyer.
I'm not a doctor.
I'm not an economist.
I'm not a stockbroker or a stock-picker.
I'm not a forecaster.
I'm not a predictor.
I'm not a pollster, a poll-reader guy.
I'm not a very good prognosticator of elections.
I'm not a committee chairman.
I'm not of the Washington scene.
I'm not a poet.
I'm not a very good novelist.
I'm not a textbook player.
I'm not a very long-winded person.
I'm not a revengeful person.
I'm not an Iraqi citizen.
I'm not a divider.
I'm not a unilateralist.
I'm not a tree.

That's a lot.

That is a lot Jason.

Makes me wonder if he uses those phrases so often to make people feel like they have something in common with their president. Also makes me wonder to what extent that is truly strategy. I can just see his advisor saying "Remember, say what you're not! Go get em Dub!" Crazy.

The NOT Hall of Fame would have to include...
"I am not a crook" - Richard Nixon
"I am not a number" - Patrick McGoohan ("The Prisoner")
"I am not an animal!" - John "The Elephant Man" Merrick (recently used as the title of a BBC animated sitcom)
"I am not a potted plant." - Brendan Sullivan (Oliver North's lawyer at the Iran-Contra hearings)
"I am not making this up" - Dave Barry (at least once in every column)
"I Am Not Going to Get Up Today" - Dr. Seuss (a Beginner Book written by him but illstrated by somebody else)
"I am not going to pay a lot for this muffler!" - George Foreman (Meineke Muffler ad)
"I am not afraid of death; I just don't want to be there when it happens." - Woody Allen

It's just a shame that Queen Victoria had to use the Royal "We" when she declared herself not amused.
