The super sizing of Star Wars action figures. "In each image, the Star Wars figure on the left is from 1979 and the one on the right is the re-issued version from 1997."

Isn't 1997 right around the time androstenedione was in fashion? Hmm... (there's something just not right about a bluked-up 3cpo.)

Now that's just ridiculous. They looked like they looked, and making them different now is downright revisionary.

Hey Jason, something's up with the comment box; I can't see the right border on my screen.

Yeah, but no one buys the action figures any more. Not when they
can get the LEGO versions.

That lucky son of a bitch. All those action figures. And people still buy action figures. Well, I do anyway. Lego is expensive.

Yeah, those figures really say something about American culture these days. LEGO, however, will always own.

Has anyone noticed the new He-Man figures that are being released (started about a year ago or so). Even though He-Man always had that muscular look (it is He-Man after all), the new figures look all hopped up on steroids.

It's like the difference between Oakland A's Mark McGwire (circa 1988) and St. Louis Cardinal's McGwire, all "roided out".

All I have to say on the Star Wars figures is that the lightsaber in the arm thing still rocks.

Chewie still looks like a Werewolf in either one.

Definately a sign of the culture we are living in, It's suprising Leia's breasts are not double D's and that
none of the new figures have tattoos, maybe Hasbro should be let in on the secret...
