The new Archos toy claims to be able to record from any music source, which I would hope would include analog inputs from a stereo or tape player. Maybe he could use that.

And btw, I would have posted my advice to his blog, but I don't know how to start a response. Like on kottke, when there is a (1) at the end of the post I can click on that and go, but when there is not...I don't know.
