I still find the PNH toolbar to do the job much better. I hit the "View Source" and "Disable Styles" buttons dozens of times a day. I love that the view source button opens the source in a new tab in the background, so I can switch from the visual to the code-based instantly.

Why you gotta show me up like that, Matt? I didn't tell anyone you hired a 7th grader to code MeFi for you and then took all the credit for it.

Sorry, you're right. I don't come down to your work and knock the cock out of your mouth and tell you you're doing your job wrong. My bad.

They're almost clones. PNH is a little bit more specialized (especially with the list of w3c docs) but lacks some of the more generally-used tools included in WebDev, which has a better UI.

Chris Pederick says:

Matt - The Web Developer extension can be configured to either view the source in a window or a tab.

The extension was written primarily because the PNH Toolbar was no longer being maintained and hasn't been updated in nearly a year now. Of course, if you prefer to use the PNH Toolbar that is cool - it's a great tool - but if you would like some new features added to the Web Developer extension, then please let me know.
