I'm with scott. Vines, Strokes and White Stripes are awful. Playing poorly and with lousy fidelity may have been cool in 1977, it isn't today.

Guitar Player magazine went as far as saying that the would be the next guitar idols for teenagers, - rock would be at an all time low if this were the case

i dont like the vines or the white stripes - they are awful, I gave them a chance though. But i love the strokes. i liked thier music before i knew anything about them. i didnt at first though. it took some listening to. Have u actually heard thier album through a couple of times? its not whether they are 'cool' or not chris
