This is one of the first rephotographing projects I've ever seen where almost nothing has changed.

I wonder if long exposure times rendered people invisible in the older shots?

Probably not original, but still interesting. Although I think the original shots are better.

There seems to be a lot of haze/fog in the background of the originals. Think that's the camera or the environment?
