Nothing at all to do with gmail, but The Great Gatsby gets two thumbs up and a cheesy grin from me - it's one of my favourite books.

'Swims and relaxing naps in the sun'?! It's raining here in London.

Google is going to lose tons of tech street cred in the coming months shutting down all of the unintended uses of Gmail.

scott partee says:

now let's just combine accounts and we've got a distributed, infinite filesystem. If I could use my 2 gmail accounts plus my Yahoo premium, I'd have 4 GB of online storage. That beats .Mac by a long shot!

kirkio says:

i know i'm a little off topic, but when i look at the invites that i sent out from GMail, they have a link referring to tJason's idea of a Google Browser. i'd assume everyone would get these ads since the content of the invite mailings is pretty much the same. anyone else get this?

Finite says:

Hurgle, gmailfs is not likely to support OS X anytime soon, but if you've got root on a linux box somewhere it would be simple enough to export your Gmail filesystem from there to your mac via samba or nfs or even webdav. I'd imagine gmailfs is probably dead slow already, so one extra layer of protocol would only make it slightly more miserable to use.

Webdav! Webdav! I spit on Webdav. Linux is a floozie who promises you everything and leaves you sobbing with scripts that never work quite right.
