Instead of emphasizing the animal, nature photographer Art Wolfe takes photos that show how animals have evolved to blend into their surroundings. Just a bit of a shame when he was caught out using digital cloning for his zebra herd shots, I think many photographers haven't taken him 'seriously' since.
His stuff looks great, but reminds me of those cheesy posters you can buy at the mall with hidden horses and native american heads and others sorts of stuff hidden in drawings -- it's a good bit of fun the first time you look, then over time, not so much. Too gimmicky
Re. the appropriate name. New Scientist has had an amusing long-running correspondence open on what they term "nominative determinism", examples of which are called "aptonyms". See Wikipedia for more.
My favourite discoveries are Wright Hassel, a firm of solicitors in the UK, and BAPS - the British Association of Plastic Surgeons - you might need some UK slang to get that ;-)
