This makes a lot of sense. I don't really need 10 gigs worth of MP3's in my palm (it would be nice). I wonder when this is coming out.. I was just going to spend my gift certificate money a 10 gig Ipod.

Does anyone know how long it took Apple to release things like the iPod and the iMac after it announced them?

I've already purchased one of these mentally. 400 songs is just fine. And they're supposed to come in different colors.

I've already purchased one of these mentally.

That's right, Apple is currently beta-testing Amazon's new 0-click ordering (patent pending).

Aww, I was just thinking about buying one of these:

(tiny 1.5 or 4 GB player by Creative)
Now the news makes me reconsider it. Although they have the great advantage of working everywhere as an external drive without having to install drivers, I doubt the new iPods are going to add that feature as well.
